Introduction and Demographics
Single Source
News (SSN) is currently the fastest growing free monthly publication in
the Miami Valley. Since October 2001, SSN has been reaching
thousands of discriminating adult readers ages 25 - 55 who are
interested in living a fun, full, productive lifestyle. The
magazine is very impressive, featuring a full-color glossy cover
and presently running at 36 pages. We are getting tremendous
response from the local community and continue to make plans to
expand our coverage area to include Columbus and Cincinnati. We
feature everything from entertainment, dining, event listings,
automotive reviews, and sports to helpful information on health,
fitness, financial and business news.
With over 340,000 single adults in the Miami Valley; and over
50% having an average income of 50K+ per year and at least
some college education; we knew that this was a segment of the
population that would greatly benefit from a publication like SSN. And, what a great benefit to advertisers and contributors,
who can directly reach these movers and shakers who literally
represent some of the most active consumers in the area.
Our regular advertisers read like
a list of who's who and include: The Dayton Bombers, The
Dayton Ballet, Dorothy Lane Markets, The Human Race Theatre, The Dayton Dragons, Springfield Symphony
Orchestra, Springfield Arts Council, Clear Channel Radio
Stations, Dr. James Apesos, The Fraze Pavilion, WDTN TV2,
Truffles Cafe and Catering, Carvers,
Joker's Comedy Cafe, Clark State Performing Arts Center,
Hausfeld's Salons and The Spa, NeoLimits Fitness, Health Foods
Unlimited, Dr. Brian Stahl, Ohio Academy of Holistic
Health, Hara Arena, The University of Dayton, New Life Surgery
Center, Better Bodies Gym, Central Carpet & Interior,
Culture Works, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Antioch
University McGregor, and many more.
Our writing staff is comprised of
many local and syndicated talents, with special columns from
individuals like the zany man-about-town, Jim Bucher of WDTN
TV2. Single Source News is currently
enjoying our 8th year of publishing, and our parent company has produced
several local publications for more than 16 years including the
award-winning Chronicle Newspaper.
An additional dimension to Single Source News is the unique
way we go beyond the printed page and network with the
leading tri-city singles organizations. SSN helped to
establish the Miami Valley Singles Counsel (MVSC), which has
direct representation from the leading singles organizations
around the area. We plan events together, and function as a
collective body to promote the enrichment of singles in Dayton,
Columbus and Cincinnati. Additionally, we plan events such as
Wine Tastings, Conversation Over Coffee, Dances, and Dinners and
Mixers. I think you'll find a connection with SSN can truly be
beneficial.
SSN is proud of the association we've established with other
fine local media including WDTN TV2, WHIO TV7, various radio stations, and various
publications.
Through these relationships we are able to provide additional
exposure for our advertisers and columnist in the form of trade agreements.
Single Source News is also
continuing to make this very web site you
are viewing better than ever, which will enable us to communicate with our
readers on a daily basis, and provide additional exposure to our
advertisers and columnists.
